“Recycle” for MxMo LXVI

13 Oct

I decided to get back into blogging, and no occasion could have been better than a new MxMo event.
This little concoction is called Recycle, as an homage to the “bein’ green theme”.

1,5 oz. Hendrick’s Gin
0,5 oz. Laphroaig 10 years Scotch
0,75 oz. Fresh lemon juice
0,75 oz. Simple syrup
1 bunch of fresh sage
5/6 slices of fresh ginger
0,25 Chartreuse Verte.

Muddle sage and ginger with the lemon juice, then pour Hendrick’s, laphroaig and simple syrup. Shake well and double strain over crushed ice. Float Chartreuse on top, guarnish with a bunch of sage and a slice of cucumber… I used an old jam jar as a glass, since we have plenty of them at the bar and either we trash them or we “recycle” them this way.
Overall, as a cocktail, summer ingredients with that hint of smokiness to remind us of the incoming autumn… hope u like it see ya for next one!!!!!!!!
